Julio Borbon delivers in the 14th Inning, driving in Starlin Castro and he gives the Northsiders a 6-5 win over the Reds.
Good job Julio.
Edwin Jackson also had a very stellar outing, going seven innings, throwing 91 pitches, punching out eight and allowing one earned run on four hits.
Very nice work Edwin.
Cody Ransom knocks a tie-breaking three run dinger in the 7th, good enough to earn the Cubs a 4-1 victory over the Pirates.
Anthony Rizzo delivers in the 10th, smacking a double into right field that clears the bases, and powers the Cubs to an 8-6 victory over the Angels.
While Scott Hairston made a terrific grab into the ivy in the first inning, he also adds to his big day by launching a grand slam into the left field bleachers (And the Cubs have hit grand slams in back-to-back games!)
Entering with the bases loaded and nobody out, Travis Wood promptly decides to unload them by hitting a grand slam off Jake Peavy.
Cubs emerge victorious, 8-3.
(And Cubs pitchers now have 19 RBIs for the month of May alone!)
